# Terms

Last updated: August 29, 2026

## Who is responsible

PulseBreak is operated by **CloudBridge Capital Limited**, trading as PulseBreak.

Unit 2904-05, 29/F, Universal Trade Centre, 3 Arbuthnot Road, Central Hong Kong SAR [Contact form](https://pulsebreak.app/contact) Registration number: 74276386 (Hong Kong Business Registration)

## Use of PulseBreak

PulseBreak’s core timer is free for personal and professional use. You may install and run it on Macs you own or control. PulseBreak Pro is an optional paid upgrade; the sections below about payment and licences apply only if you buy it.

## Downloads and updates

Public downloads are provided after the app is signed, notarized, and release metadata is published. Updates may be delivered through Sparkle using the public appcast feed, and automatic update checks can be turned off in Settings.

## PulseBreak Pro licences

PulseBreak Pro is a one-time licence for up to three Macs, and includes PulseBreak 1.x updates. A licence is personal to the buyer and may not be resold, shared publicly, or used to bypass activation limits. A device slot can be transferred after the previous Mac is deactivated, which you can do from Settings on that Mac or by asking us.

PulseBreak validates a licence when it starts and about once a day while running, and may deactivate access associated with refunds, chargebacks, fraud, or material violations of these terms. If the licence service cannot be reached, Pro keeps working for a 30-day offline grace period.

## Payments, taxes, and refunds

Pro and support payments, receipts, taxes, refund requests, and licence-key delivery are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. The checkout page shows the final price, applicable taxes, licence scope, and refund terms before you pay. Dodo Payments’ own terms govern the payment transaction itself.

Support PulseBreak is an optional purchase supporting continued development. It is not a charitable donation, is not tax deductible, and does not grant Pro access.

## Right of withdrawal (EU and EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason. PulseBreak Pro is digital content delivered immediately. If you expressly consent at checkout to immediate delivery and acknowledge that this **ends your right of withdrawal**, the right ends once delivery begins. If you did not give that consent, or delivery has not begun, the 14-day right still applies and you can exercise it by contacting us.

This does not limit the statutory remedies you have if the software is faulty or not as described.

## Your messages and feedback

If you send feedback, you allow PulseBreak to read, store, and use it to improve the app and support users. Do not send confidential information through the contact form.

## Acceptable use

Do not redistribute modified builds in a way that implies they are official PulseBreak releases. Do not use the website, forms, downloads, or update feed to abuse, spam, probe, overload, or disrupt the service.

## Warranty and liability

PulseBreak is a wellbeing aid, not medical advice, and is not a substitute for medical care, ergonomics advice, or workplace safety guidance. Except as stated below, the app and website are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, and liability for damages arising from their use is excluded to the extent the law permits.

**Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.** That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and — for consumers in the EU, EEA, or UK — your mandatory statutory rights, including rights relating to digital content that is faulty or not as described. If you are a consumer, these terms do not take away any right your local law gives you.

## Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the product changes. The date above changes with them, and material changes are noted in the [changelog](https://pulsebreak.app/changelog). Continuing to use PulseBreak after a change means the updated terms apply; a change never retroactively alters a purchase you already made.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and disputes are subject to the courts of Hong Kong. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.

If you are a consumer, you may also use any statutory alternative dispute-resolution body available in your country. You can [contact us](https://pulsebreak.app/contact) first and give us the chance to put the issue right.
